Agave Sugar is the granular form of the nectar which is extracted from the Blue Agave plant. This plant can be found extensively in the dryer, central regions of South Africa where it grows organically and is harvested from the wild.
O’natural Agave Sugar has a low G.I. of 24 which means you don’t get the extreme highs and lows, normally associated with table sugars and other sweeteners. Agave Sugar also helps to cut down the calorie intake as it is much sweeter (+/- four times sweeter than regular sugar). Its composition is 20% sucrose/ 80% fructose – which are in its natural form unlike high fructose corn syrup.
O’natural Agave Sugar is flavour neutral which enhances, rather than alters the flavour of your foods, drinks etc. Can be used as a sugar replacement for; baking, smoothies, desserts, dairy, beverages, sugar free products and much more.
Agave Nectar is a moisture retainer and enhances product freshness due to its hygroscopic properties which act as humidifying agents.
