FermPlus - Did you have your daily teaspoon of goodness?

FermPlus is the new generation of Probiotic Superfoods that combines the nutrient packed goodness of 15 Gluten-free Wholefoods with 13 key strains of live Loctobacilli (known as Probiotics or gut flora)

Each Living Wholefood has been carefully selected for its powerhouse of vital nutrients. Nature's wisdom provides naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids, enzymes and phyto-nutrients in foods.

FermPlus was created to provide the 13 key Lactobacillus strains (not just 2 or 3 strains) together with their own food source. This food source also acts as a prebiotic which allows the bacteria to stay alive and healthy and able to work synergistically together to provide your body with a very powerful probiotic. This is the result of 2 decades of research.

FermPlus bacteria is cultured from vegetables and gluten-free grains ( not dairy or soil based organisms) and is free of any genetic engineering.

Why Probiotics?

A healthy digestive system is full of bacteria – both “friendly” and “unfriendly”. The “friendly” or probiotic bacteria should predominate. However this intricate ratio can become unbalanced due to poor eating habits, medication, antibiotics, tummy upsets, chemicals, stress and illness.

Probiotics help replenish the “friendly” intestinal flora for gut bacterial balance, which is essential for good digestion, a healthy bowel and immune system.

Signs of Intestinal Bacterial Imbalance:

Digestive Problems
Constipation or diarrhoea
Food allergies & sensitivities
Fatigue
Acne, eczema, fungal infections
Poor immune system, colds & flu
Poor concentration
Inflammatory disorders

Food allergies are a major cause of gastro-intestinal inflammation, as is the disturbance of good gut bacteria. This leads to an unbalanced digestive system making it more difficult to absorb the goodness from food eaten which can lead to nutrient starvation.

FermPlus – Some say, “You are what you eat.” We say, “You are what you absorb.”

Q & A

1. Can Anyone take FermPlus? YES! FermPlus is a nutritious food so it is suitable for everyone including children, the elderly, and anyone interested in maintaining their health.

2. How many bacteria are in FermPlus?

Most companies shake up their bacteria to separate the bacteria out of their colonies to get individual counts in the Millions or Billions. When you understand that bacteria work in colonies not individually this doesn't make sense. We need to know how many alive and healthy bacteria colonies there are as this is how they work together.

For example, Acidophilus tends to colonise around the lower part of the digestive system, which means if you only take Acidophilus you are neglecting the rest of your digestive tract. This is why having just one or two bacteria in a formula is of little value.

A broad-spectrum probiotic (like FermPlus) helps support and colonize the whole system.

FermPlus has a minimum of 27 million colonies per gram. Now multiply this by thousands (as there are thousands in each colony) and times by 5 to get a 5gm serve (a teaspoon) and you have a figure in at least the billions.

The next thing to take into account is the fact that the FermPlus bacteria are stronger for many reasons - they have been bred to withstand the usual substances that diminish bacteria – heat, cold, pesticides, preservatives and much more, making them far more active and alive than commercially produced bacteria. They can even survive 12% Alcohol.

One other point is the bacteria have been bred from food, (this is where man originally got his bacteria) unlike most companies who use the less expensive way of producing bacteria with dairy as their base, or some even use soil based organisms. What is most important is that the bacteria in FermPlus are alive in the pot. The bacteria feed on the wholefoods and keep on multiplying after it is made, unlike a tablet or capsule. The wholefoods also act as a prebiotic.

The extra advantage is that the bacteria have broken down the wholefoods that they are in and now the nutrients from these foods are more readily available for absorption.

To our knowledge no other product offers such a power packed powder.

3. How do I use FermPlus?

FermPlus was specifically made without Gluten and is rated Zero Gluten. We also avoided Wheat, Corn, Dairy and Casein so even those with the most common food allergies can enjoy the advantages of Probiotic Wholefoods.

We suggest those with digestive problems, food intolerances, children and first time users start with a small amount of FermPlus, e.g. an 1/8 of a teaspoon once a day, and gradually build up.

Most people mix a teaspoon of FermPlus with water or juice or add it to a smoothie to make a healthful drink.

You can also add 3 teaspoons of FermPlus to your favourite bread recipe to replace yeast.

Be inventive—add it to a salad dressing or sprinkle on a meal.

4. Do I need to keep FermPlus in the Fridge?

Unlike many probiotics, FermPlus does not need to be stored in the fridge. Just keep it away from heat and store it in a cool dry place.
